I have a long day ahead of me at St. Vincent’s hospital undergoing the gastric emptying study. This is not my first time at the rodeo, I performed this test prior to my total abdominal colectomy surgery. I will say this, the microwave egg white omelette laced in radioactive medicine that will be traced through my G.I. Track don’t taste any bet ore delicious the second time around. the purpose of today’s study is to see if my digestive tract is intermittently shutting down or works at an abnormally slow rate daily. Based on prior studies like the horse pill Smart Pill, my system sporadically fails. Fingers crossed all goes well today and I am not stuck in the hospital too long!
